Corey Heim Clinches Sober or Slammer 200 at Darlington — Truck Series Playoff Opener

Darlington Raceway — Saturday, August 30, 2025:
The Lady in Black, as unforgiving as ever, laid down the gauntlet — and Corey Heim answered with textbook execution. After a gritty restart at lap 134 of 147, Heim pulled away to take the checkered flag in the Sober or Slammer 200, claiming his eighth win of the season and punching his ticket to the Round of 8 in the Truck Series playoffs.
Heim crossed the finish line just 0.766 seconds ahead of Daniel Hemric, riding a wave of playoff momentum. Finisher line behind them: Grant Enfinger, Ty Majeski, and Trevor Bayne rounded out the top five.
The night turned truly dramatic late in the race — reigning polesitter Layne Riggs suffered a right front tire failure with under 20 laps to go, knocking him out of the fight despite leading 65 laps earlier.
With this win, Heim not only keeps his season’s win tally blazing but also edges ever closer to the all-time single-season Truck Series record of nine wins—held by Greg Biffle since 1999.
Darlington doesn’t just reveal the fastest drivers — it cruelly exposes who can hold their nerve under pressure. Last night belonged to Heim, and Saturday’s race just got even hotter.
